What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Confidential?
We are seeking a Maintenance Director for our beautiful retirement and assisted living community.
Job Duties:
- Supervises daily maintenance operations.
- Assists in developing department procedures and with the orientation, training and ongoing development of staff.
- Directs the communities maintenance, housekeep and laundry staff, to include hiring, training and resolving disciplinary issues.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to standards and policies.
- Conducts regular inspections of life safety systems, including fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems.
- Conducts equipment maintenance, as well as reporting any equipment malfunctions or repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior management and survey experience is preferred.
- Long term care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, light construction or painting preferred.
