Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Reports to: Plant Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead safety efforts plant-wide
· Manages staffing levels, work schedules and job assignments
· Resolves people issues appropriately in a timely manner and engages appropriate resources (HR, site leadership) when needed
· Improve recovery, cut per hour cost, and improve quality of work on the plant site
· Rapidly advance preventative and predictive maintenance programs toward world-class practices
· Establish strategic priorities through partnerships with other key departments
· Lead cultural change
· Effectively execute capital and major expense projects along with mid to long term strategic planning
· Ensures adequate skill depth in team by analyzing strengths and opportunities of the team, and implementing development plans to strengthen the team's performance
· Sets and maintain high standards and ensures that all team members are held to the same expectations/standards
· Leads the department by building capacity in the front-line leaders and leading through them. Manages others rather than the day-to-day process
· Actively manage cost control processes to drive cost out and increase operational efficiency
· Provides input to the monthly and annual planning process
· Ensures required data systems (CMMS) are operational and used in department decision making and priority setting process
· Ability to determine the key metrics and performance indicators for the department based on the data
· Advocate for the department yet is a catalyst for the mill or region
· Minimize repair roles by effectively managing planned maintenance vs. reactive maintenance
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Experience is heavily considered. A degree not required however an Associates degree in engineering or related technical field, Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Five years or more experience in leadership in a technical or maintenance related field
· Project management experience
· Understands all aspects of the manufacturing process (raw material usage, recovery, quality, machinery)
· In-depth knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and scheduling for critical path
· Detailed oriented troubleshooting skills
· Strong mathematical aptitude
· Effectively uses Microsoft applications
· Visually adept at and with drawings; 2D and 3D
· AutoCAD skills a preferred
· Effectively implements and uses CMMS
· Has utilized a structured PM, PDM and root cause failure analysis systems
· Basic PLC/automation understand (i.e. ability to read ladder logic, etc.)
· Complies with regulatory requirements including Hazardous Materials, OSHA, Clean Water/Air Act, Worker’s Compensation, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
