What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Educator (Part-Time/Contract) position at Confidential?
We are looking for a part-time RN Educator that will oversee regular orientation meetings for our incoming providers who are all qualified Registered Nurses. Materials such as power-points and related documents are provided by the client. The RN Educator is responsible for reviewing the materials with the RNs, ensuring the RNs are attentive and engaged, answer questions from the RNs regarding specific scenarios, and evaluate the tests/surveys of the RNs complete after the course.
The RN Educator will hold one to two Client Orientations and/or Diabetes management refresher classes in person (Brooklyn). Approximate hours: approx. 30 hours a month; hours/days are flexible. Occasional use of Zoom platform.
Prior training / education experience desired.
Requirements:
- NYS Registered Nurse license
- 5 years of RN experience
- 3 years School Nurse experience
- Ability to work in-person
- Experience with the Zoom platform
Duties:
- Responsible for conducting new nurse client orientations and re-trainings
- Serve as a liaison between staff and nurses when clinical issues or questions arise and ensure that they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner
- Submit reports to the Program Director regarding outcomes of orientations/classes
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with Senior Client Representatives and Staff members
- Responsible for assessing new nurse consultant skill set
- Attend Nursing in-services as requested by client.
Job Types: Contract, Part-time
Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour
