General Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall warehouse operation including shipping and receiving, staffing for order selectors and warehouse associates, as well as navigating inventory control. Also, the Operations Manager is responsible for fleet management including maintenance of all fleet vehicles, route optimization, and driver training and supervision. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the above areas of responsibility by assigning and directing the work, training employees, to include forklift training, proper use of equipment, safety training, adhering to OSHA regulations, applicable DOT training and regulations, and overseeing the planned maintenance of machinery and equipment. In addition, this position will be responsible for leading and developing the warehouse and driver teams to deliver excellent customer service. This position will work closely with internal departments and transportation companies and must plan for incoming stock placements and the warehouse layout to create efficiencies for picking product.
Essential Functions:
1. Understand and be able to proficiently execute full warehouse processes in ERP system to include receiving, inventory, put away, manifests, and nightly transfer to other locations.
2. Inbound logistics – receives all products into warehouse, verifies product received against purchase orders, and verifies relevant information.
3. Outbound logistics – direct drops and product transfers to other locations or cross docks.
4. Ensure drivers follow all return procedures and give accurate and detailed descriptions to the logistics team to create inventory control and to pass proper information on to the sales team.
5. Establish how to measure and monitor mis-picks and organize staff and procedures to reduce/eliminate mis-picks and breakage.
6. Maintain all related inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory is accurate and control shrinkage, theft or mishandling of inventory.
7. Organize warehouse to optimize efficiency through product placement and procedures for working back stock. Regularly review and maintain proper bin locations.
8. Create procedures for the warehouses to efficiently work with the sales staff for sample pick up and rep deliveries.9. Hire the right number of staff and create work plan/procedures to foster cooperative/team-oriented work environment and a stabilized work force.
10. Schedule staff and shifts to minimize/eliminate overtime.
11. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
12. Safety Program training.
13. Forklift training.
14. DOT training and log maintenance.
15. Create and regularly review expectations for efficiency and quality for warehouse staff. Ensure a rapid pace is always safe and well maintained.
16. Vehicle fleet review and planning for replacement.
17. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
You must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time, and be able to bend, reach, kneel, stoop and grasp. You must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds repetitively and must be able to meet the demanding challenges of loading/unloading and have no physical lifting limitations.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
