Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities includes:
Buying -
- Search for and vet new vendors
- Liaison with vendors in obtaining latest price lists and changes
- Securing and analyzing quotations
- Negotiate prices and purchasing agreements
- Purchasing ingredients
- Purchasing bottles, caps and supplies for packaging
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price
- Obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items
- Follows up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates
Inventory Control:
- Assist Supply Chain/Warehouse personnel with inventory reconciliation as needed.
- Verify receipt of items
- Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure availability
- Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Tracking inventory and ensure on time delivery of merchandise
- Assist Supply Chain/Warehouse personnel implement cycle, quarterly and year-end inventory counts
- Interoffice Communication -

- Assist salespeople with sourcing for customer quotes
- Interaction with General Managers to ensure compliance of inventory procedures
- Assist in managing weekly order status reporting
- Analyze sales orders with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
Qualifications and Desired Skills: Minimum 2 years experience buying vitamins and supplements _ Excellent on the phone Good writing skills _Benefits:_ Base salary Bonus based on performance and company profitability_
- Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel
- 4-Year College degree

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
