What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Operations Director position at Confidential?
Reporting to the CEO, the Region Operations Director position has full strategic, operations and P&L responsibility for multiple brands in a pre-defined footprint. This role will also be responsible for sales and revenue generation, fostering a culture of safety and high levels of employee engagement retention in partnership with his/her leadership teams across the region.
The person in this role demonstrates thoughtful strategic and executive leadership leading a $100MM region of combined HVAC and plumbing businesses. He/she will be in a highly collaborative role, moving quickly to support his/her businesses while helping build and sustain scalable operational processes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develops strategies and deploys tactics to attain short and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals.
- Manage and direct all brand operations activities to ensure completion of customer and business requirements.
- Assists brand leaders in the development and formulation of long and short-term planning, policies programs and objectives.
- Implement a standardized Business Operating System to assess region and site scorecard KPIs and coordinate actions to drive revenue and profitability.
- Manage brands to assess monthly financial performance and establish accurate forecasts for profit, inventory, headcount, staffing, CAPEX and other financial metrics in partnership with Region Controller
- Lead efforts across the region to implement best practices, tools and high-performance work teams in the field and office environments.
- Execute an operational strategy that supports industry leading performance in customer service and employee engagement.
- Ensures that the brands are focused on ESG, safety, as part of their strategy for culture driving towards great place to work recognition in their communities.
- Assure that all brands meet environmental, health, and safety requirements considering local regulations, company policies and sustainability efforts.
- Build organization capability through assessment and management of key leadership positions, coaching of operational leaders and strategic development actions.
- Hires, trains, develops, and evaluates his/her team – taking corrective action as
- necessary and in a timely manager in accordance with company policy.
- Ensures compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations – consulting with the Human Resources Partners as appropriate.
- Manage resource investment in organization development, capital equipment and new technology to assure organizational, product and region-level leadership.
What You Bring To The Table:
- Focus on delivering results through simple and impactful planning methods.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field, or equivalent leadership and P&L experience.
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years leadership and operations experience, including multi-site responsibility.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience leading and managing a significant segment/business unit of a large customer-service based business or the entire operation of a smaller consumer -based services brand/location.
- Experience in the HVAC/Plumbing industries preferred.
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
