What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Maintenance position at Confidential?
We are looking to hire experienced residential repair professionals who are self-proficient, and professional, and can successfully assist in the daily punch list of residential service issues and client requests according to construction plans, maintenance plans, and remodel requirements.
To be successful in this role you should be able to interpret blueprints and have sound knowledge of building codes and safety regulations. Ultimately, an exceptional candidate has experience from the floor to the wall to the ceiling in a residential home and can demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping lumber, wood, and other building materials.
- Attaching building materials using screws, nuts, and bolts.
- Erecting temporary structures such as scaffolds and hoists.
- Performing repairs on existing framework structures that are damaged or structurally unsound.
- Analyzing blueprints and drawings to determine the structural dimensions of the framework to be constructed.
- Analyzing construction plans to identify potential structural problems.
- Examining building materials to identify any defects.
- Performing cleanups of job sites by clearing away all carpentry debris and waste.
- Constructing wooden concrete forms to aid the construction team in erecting various concrete structures.
- Repairing fixing issues such as plumbing, flooring, drywall, drywall textures, mudding, and taping. Finish work, re-installation of fixtures, and cabinetry.
- Demonstrate an organized, thorough approach to your duties.
- Replacing carpets and wooden floors.
- Installing and repairing wires, plugs, and switches.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in communal areas.
- Painting communal areas and exterior walls.
- Disposing of trash found in communal areas.
- Tracking inventory to ensure that you have adequate maintenance supplies.
- Ensuring that fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency exits always remain in excellent working condition.
- Dexterity and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Physical strength and stamina.
