Job Opportunity: Survey Instrument Technician
We’re looking for a skilled Survey Instrument Technician to join our field team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the survey crew chief with various field surveys. Key Responsibilities:
- Field Surveys: Collaborate with the survey crew chief to conduct accurate field surveys for diverse residential projects.
- Equipment Setup: Set up and calibrate surveying instruments, ensuring peak performance and accuracy.
- Instrument Operation: Operate and adjust total stations, levels, GPS systems, and data collectors to gather precise data.
- Control Points: Aid in establishing survey control points, benchmarks, and reference points for accurate alignment and positioning.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform basic repairs on surveying equipment, ensuring it’s always in top condition.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the survey crew to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion.
- Data Management: Assist in recording field notes, measurements, and data for thorough documentation and analysis.
- Weather Resilience: Comfortable working in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: High School diploma required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role, with experience as a Survey Instrument Technician preferred.
- Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.
- Pre-employment Requirements: Ability to pass pre-employment drug tests with negative results.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel overnight and out-of-state as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
