Summary
Position Summary:Provide high level support for the performance of moderate to high complexity procedures within a section or major division of the clinical laboratory. Perform administrative functions in support of optimal Laboratory function by the implementation of quality directed/cost effective procedures; and to carry out hospital and laboratory policies. Provide direction to laboratory staff and students; exercise expertise in development/evaluation/performance of new or specialty procedures. Qualifications
Required:- Bachelor of Science/Health Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related science from an accredited school, or acceptance into a program within 2 years of hire date.
- Certification in MLS (ASCP), or MT (ASCP), equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist.
- Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB)ASCP certification
