We are growing and looking for an experienced Senior estimator to join our team!
The Senior Estimator is responsible for developing positive and productive relationships with all project stakeholders, maintaining departmental databases, and obtaining all required information to properly develop scopes of work, budgets, and project estimates.
The Key Accountabilities for the Senior Estimator are:
- Understands and interprets project requirements to define the scope of work and bid strategy.
- Creates detailed and accurate estimates to allow the organization to win profitable work.
- Maintains unit price database to support the estimating team in creating accurate and prompt estimates.
- Maintains a database that allows Conger Construction to communicate with vendors about potential projects, create maximum coverage of bid opportunities, and develop accurate estimates.
The Minimum Requirements for the Senior Estimator are:
- 10 years estimating commercial construction projects is Required
- Proficiency in construction management software and advanced project planning tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a proven ability to manage complex budgets and develop cost-effective project plans.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Establishes cooperative relationships with subcontractors, consultants, advisors and owner representatives to determine budgets and clarify project requirements and resources needed to properly fulfill job functions.
- Participates in handoff meetings between Business Development and Preconstruction to transfer all relevant information to the estimating team and ensures a clear understanding of project requirements and budget.
- Participates in turnover meetings to transfer all relevant information to the construction team and ensures a clear understanding of project requirements and budget.
- Coaches and mentors Junior Estimators to increase the skillsets and competencies required to estimate and manage workload effectively.
