What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Brand Engagement - US position at Coniq?

This role will serve as an integral part of defining and planning our brand relations strategies and will directly liaison with partnered retail brands to ensure successful participation in our loyalty programs. The role will work closely with our client success team, marketing department, and senior leadership to apply consumer insights, marketing strategy, and promotional performance projections to our loyalty initiatives. The role requires strong planning skills, with the ability to manage many moving pieces while partnering with cross-functional teams.
This role will operate under a hybrid model of both office based (in our Miami office) and remote.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy and execution for brand relations at Coniq
- This role will manage the day-to-day operations of our brand engagement function ensuring our loyalty programs have substantial brand participation
- Collaborate with key Account Directors on domestic and international retail brand relations including existing accounts and new program launches
- Work cross-functionally with client success, product, and marketing teams to help launch new loyalty programs, ensuring strong retailer participation
- Lead retailer promotional submissions in partnership with internal teams to ensure our loyalty programs have substantive brand promotional offers
- Maximize ongoing brand participation throughout a loyalty programs lifecycle
- The Director of Brand Engagement can expect to be regularly engaged with external senior brand executives
- Serve as a subject matter expert to our internal marketing team to strategically identify and execute marketing-worthy opportunities for communications, case studies, and press releases
- The ideal candidate is an outstanding communicator, proactive, and collaborative team member, with the ability to manage planning, execution, and reporting for several initiatives at once
- Create clear and compelling presentations to pitch brands on participating in our programs
- Measure and report on individual brand performance within different programs and provide recommendations for improvement to maximize brand performance
- Lead, mentor, and build a brand engagement team
- Manage retail brand files and establish processes that keep initiatives on track
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent
- 7 years of brand relationship management, marketing, or account management experience
- Retail or shopping center industry knowledge, experience, or expertise is strongly preferred
- Strong business acumen, strategic orientations, and general operations experience
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational leadership skills
- Exceptional communications skills, clear, concise, and professional representation is expected
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to present marketing information to large groups including, senior executives
- Strong analytical ability, especially in understanding and applying marketing/retail trends and marketing strategies
- Strong project management skills to lead initiatives and program-level promotions
- Existing relationships within retail brand marketing is a plus
- Ability to travel as needed
