This high visibility, mission critical role will be responsible for leading and directing the multi-site manufacturing and engineering programs that ensure CONMED's position as an industry leader. The ideal candidate will have broad background spanning manufacturing, supply chain and R&D and the ability to get results in a complex, dynamic business environment. This global executive will bring strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to change management.
The Vice President of Global Operations reports to our President & CEO and is an integral part of the Executive Leadership Team. Reporting into this position will be 3 manufacturing site leaders, the Vice President of Engineering and Strategic Operations and the Vice President, US Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain, with dedicated finance and human resources partners. The position may be seated at one of our U.S manufacturing locations (Utica, NY or Largo, FL), or remotely in the Eastern half of the country, with the expectation of travel regularly. This is a unique role that will drive the strategic direction of the business and play a critical role in supporting CONMED's growth.

Responsibilities
- Own driving the CONMED globally through leading manufacturing, engineering, and global supply chain strategies. Communicate a compelling and inspired vision of future possibilities and direction to team; create a climate that encourages open communication, customer centric thinking, learning, a focus on quality, continuous improvement, and ethical conduct.
- Build, lead and develop a highly motivated and world-class team to achieve the goals of the company's manufacturing initiatives.
- Promote a culture of high performance, engaged talent and continuous improvement.
- Develop talent for current and future needs of the business. Includes attracting, retaining and transitioning talent within CONMED's manufacturing function and throughout the organization.
- Provide daily strategic counsel, guidance, and leadership through example to staff, ensuring the team's success by managing work quality and productivity levels
- Identify objectives and opportunities to continuously improve efficiency, consistency, and synergy throughout the manufacturing sites and across functional areas.
- Lead the development and implementation the annual manufacturing budget and operating plan.
- Champion organizational safety culture with respect to behaviors, processes, and environment.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in Business Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 15 years direct experience in manufacturing (preferably medical devices) with hands-on experience in multiple disciplines.
- Must have experience managing one, or more, medical device manufacturing site(s).
- Experience managing multiple facilities preferred.

Travel expectation: ability to travel in excess of 50% of the time.
