Job Summary
As the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the financial and IT operations of the organization. This role will report directly to the CEO. Your primary focus will be on driving financial strategy, managing financial risks, and ensuring the company's financial health. You will play a critical role in providing financial insights to support decision-making, optimizing financial performance, and driving sustainable growth.
What you will do
- Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Manage the accounting close process, ensuring accurate timely accounting compliance with GAAP
- Oversee the financial reporting process, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
- Build and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with the company's goals, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing data-driven recommendations.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, industry trends, best practices, and changes in regulations, proactively recommending and implementing changes to accounting policies and practices as required.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability of financial operations.
- Manage and drive NetSuite implementation • Actively participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Some travel required.
- Perform other duties as required.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in financial management
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to influence across functions and level.
- Experience with high growth, fast-paced businesses
- Expert level experience in Microsoft office Suite, specifically Excel
- Experience in ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.
Nice to Haves
- CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- MBA preferred.
