CONTROLLER LAS VEGAS, NV
- Supervise the payment process to vendors and subcontractors and confirm lien waivers are properly collected, as well as other risk management procedures are being followed.
- Review all checks and related backup after they have been signed and before they have been released.
- Review accounts receivable, aging reports and assist project management with collections.
- Supervise the recording of cash receipts and preparation and making of bank deposits.
- Monitor daily bank activity and cash balances to ensure requirements are met.
- Manage and maintain the accounting software.
- Mentoring direct reports to grow in their roles responsibilities as the company continues to grow.
- Perform special assignments as directed by the Ownership. Financial Reporting
- Preparation and review of monthly financial statements for affiliated entities. Review financial statements with ownership.
- Create budgets with ownership and manage budgets to ensure fiscal health and responsibility.
- Preparation of both financial and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee the monthly job cost report process with the President and project managers for use in creating and updating forecasts and updated work in progress reports for internal and external use.
- Responsible for the review and procurement of the business and health insurance programs for all entities.
- Strategic planning; perform due diligence and create projections with different scenarios on growth opportunities as needed.
- Prepare the annual financial budget and update the forecasts on a quarterly basis.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- Strongleadership and effective problem-solving skills.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
