MINIMUM 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN MACHINE OPERATING IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
Connect Staffing is seeking a detailed casting operator for a reputable vinyl manufacturer in Placentia, CA.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 2 PM- 10:30 PM Must be flexible and have weekend availability
Requirements of the Casting Operator:
- 6 months of prior experience in machine operation, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of extrusion or casting processes
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to safely lift 50lbs
- Must have steel-toe boots
- Able to tolerate strong smells created by the industrial process
- Ability to comply with grooming standards, including no facial hair
- Prior experience in roles such as Film Production Operator, Quality Control Inspector, and Machine Operator is a plus!

Responsibilities of the Casting Operator:
- Operate casting machines to produce vinyl films according to production schedules and specifications
- Clean and set up wet-end equipment (coating head, pump, and filters) as needed and monitor and make process/equipment
- Identify coating defects and take corrective action to eliminate the defect
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Set up mixers, pump, tote, hose, liner, and adhesive according to work order requirements
- Handling Hazardous Waste and procedures
- Be mindful of sensitivity to odors in the surrounding environment
