Summary of Job
Under supervision of the Medical Director, assess, plan, and provide direct patient care and clinical services to OEHC patients and clients, consistent with established treatment protocols and scope of licensure. Participate in all aspects of OEHC operations including clinical care, education, outreach, and research.

- Evaluate and treat new and established patients of OEHC, including history, physical exam, patient education, and discussion of workers’ compensation.
- Provide appropriate treatment and follow-up activities as well as evaluation of workplace hazards, co-workers at risk and the need for industrial hygiene involvement, as appropriate.
- Participate in NYSDOH clinical network data acquisition and research protocols.
- Develop and implement educational programs for occupational health and community health settings.
- Develop and implement clinical programs for occupational and community settings.
- Actively participate in OEHC clinical management activities such as QA, Infection Control Committee and Workplace Safety Committee.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Active, unrestricted NYS license/certification as a Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- Current certification with NYS Workers’ Compensation Board to see patients (Required)
- 10 years of relevant, professional work experience (Required)
- 5 – 8 years’ clinical experience as a NP or PA (Required)
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.) (Required)
- Ability to effectively screen and treat patients who are appropriate for services (Required)
- Ability to: create and execute care plans and document per EH policies and procedures; manage a caseload of patients; make appropriate referrals to internal and external programs that meet the patient’s needs; work effectively with patients from a wide range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds (Required)
- Strong communications skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, public speaking) with all audiences (Required)
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients, and to convey medical information to non-medical people (Required)
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external contacts (Required)
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate client and company needs (Required)
