Overview
Connection has an amazing opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Network Engineer in San Francisco, New York, and Seattle. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with our client in the transportation industry. These positions are onsite and responsible for build network infrastructure onsite, cabling to DDF or MDF's, replacing Access points and configuring WLAN Controllers, Routers, switches, firewalls, and DNS servers.
6-month contract position. Full benefits, medical, dental, and vision. Wellness and sick days. M-F 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm depending on location. CCNA / CCNP or equivalent required
Job Duties:
- Physical build out of office network infrastructure.
- Capture and record information in respective site network engineering designs, creating these in cases where they may not exist or require refresh.
- Perform day to day support and administration including: installation, configuration, monitoring, documentation, and automation of network infrastructure and corporate
- Reinstate and manage office infrastructure that may have been in a decommissioned state for some time.
- Train and mentor users on the IT support team
- Respond to tactical support escalations
- Provide continuous review of internal IT network infrastructure
- Some travel to support new office builds and retrofits
- Participate in Tier 3 on call rotation
Responsibilities
We Value:
- 7 years of experience
- CCNA / CCNP or equivalent required
- Designing, implementing, and Operating all LAN and Office related network infrastructure and services.
- Data Center/Co-location design, location selection and build
- Hosted environments such as AWS, Google Compute Engine, or Azure
- Infoblox and the management of IPAM’s.
- Configuration and management of DDI.
- Designing and building MDF/IDF infrastructure
- Network equipment from Cisco, Aruba, Juniper and / or other vendors
- Wireless network design, tuning and troubleshooting
- Implementing and tuning network and systems security in a large, complex
- multi-site environment
- Network monitoring, fault management and incident resolution.
