What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copywriter position at Connelly Partners?
JOB PURPOSE
As a Copywriter you are here to write, to think, to concept and then write again. You are here to partner with other members of the department to create compelling concepts, meaningful connections and relevant and innovative work.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Ensure the creative vision and brand voice is implemented across a variety of channels
- Assist in the development of ideas that stem from empathetic insights derived by our planning department and executing them in ways that are breakthrough and unique
- Write strategic platforms of which your idea stems from as well as headlines and body copy
- Work with art directors, social content experts, producers and other members of the agency to frame your ideas
- Concept and write across a variety of platforms
- Present your own ideas to clients with confidence and help to sell them through
- Partner with the clients, making them feel like an extension of their team
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years experience in a copywriter role
- Facility with all media (print, social, online, radio, possibly even TV); understanding of digital development while working on platforms is a plus
- Conceptual thinker who is able to think both in terms of words and visuals and how they work together to solve real marketing problems
- Ability to write not just pithy headlines and social media posts, but someone who can actually write (and enjoys writing) long form
- Team player
- Ability to balance multiple projects
- A grown up, who realizes that this business changes on a dime and we need to keep up with it
