Delaware Basin
Spanning West Texas through Southeast New Mexico, ConocoPhillips holds approximately 709,000 total net acres in the Delaware Basin, which includes approximately 654,000 unconventional net acres. ConocoPhillips began exploring and appraising the basin’s stacked pay potential in 2012. The position grew to its current size through the Concho and Shell transactions. Entering 2022, the company now operates over 2,200 wells throughout the Basin. Average net production across the basin in 2021 was 286 MBOED.
Description
If you are selected as the Electrical Foreman, you will lead a team of high performing Project Leads to support the Delaware Basin South. You will partner with appropriate Field leaders to lead multiple major and minor electrical projects, schedules and ensure compliance with HSE procedures and standards.
This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Plan and supervise craft activities including method of construction, personnel levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedules
- Possess basic knowledge in OH powerline distribution. Capable of performing electrical quality audits
- Provides Project status reporting to supervisor and project engineers
- Coordinate with vendors on design and installation of new electrical equipment, as well as removal and replacement of existing equipment
- Coordinate assigned work with different crafts (Mechanical, Operations, Drilling, Completions, including other contractors
- Strong social and communication skills with superiors, customers, and project partners.
- Intermediate computer skills, such as MS Office and other construction-related software.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
- Read and understand P&ID’s (symbols, tags, and instrument lines), One-Line diagrams, wiring diagrams and instrument loop drawings
- Perform audits weekly by visiting jobs in the field for quality, safety, and NEC, NESC compliance.
- Coordinate with Supervisor regarding scheduled jobs and personnel needs.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical equipment
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
- Current/Valid Driver's License
- 3 years of electrical/instrumentation experience in an oil and gas operation setting
- Holds or able to obtain current/valid Journeyman License in Texas, New Mexico or both
Preferred:
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- 1 years of experience with start-up and commission of new oilfield facilities and or OH powerline distribution systems
- 1 years of experience and demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 70-NEC, NESC, electrical isolation standards, risk assessment, and distribution power systems
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and the ability to supervise a highly motivated team including Project Leads and multiple contractors consisting of OHE utility and facility E&I builds
