Construction Miners

Consbec USA Inc. is currently recruiting for Construction Miners to join our team. We realize mining can be a tough and physically demanding position; we’re looking for people that are willing to work hard.

Job Responsibilities:

The following are a general list of duties and responsibilities that maybe adjusted from time to time by your supervisor.

Safety is PARAMOUNT. You must follow all Consbec and clients established policies, procedures and best practices, MSHA regulations, as well as the law at all times.

• Must be efficient working with Shotcreting equipment
• Perform miscellaneous mining and construction work such as, but not limited to:
• Scaling and doing pre-operation inspection of work site;
• Filling 5 point safety card and maintain accurate operating records, including daily work reports;
• Install ground support with handheld equipment when required;
• Apply shotcrete
• Be physically fit for work
• Work under instructions supervisor or manager.
• Work safely and follow company policies and procedures and conduct local risk control.
• Monitor a safe workplace, maintain workplace safety and apply risk management processes for elimination of work-related injuries, damage to equipment and incident-related lost time.
• Work in a Team environment
• Outstanding safety record
• Contribute to and establish effective workplace relationships.
• Provide workplace status update to relevant people at the end of shift (supervisor and coworkers)
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced crew members
• Support construction supervisor by doing site inspections, QA/QC, establish methodology in construction context etc…
• All other tasks as directed by supervisor

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sufficient language skills, literacy and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks
• Labour background considered an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently
• A minimum of 2 years construction experience in mining operations;
• Ability to read and understand engineering prints (civil work, structural work, rock excavation work)
• Exposure to different Mining & Construction environments and techniques is preferred.
• This position requires the successful candidate to meet the Fitness for Duty program standards.
• High attention to detail and high standards

Salary: $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Supplemental Pay:

• Bonus pay

• Gouverneur, NY 13642: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Shotcreting: 2 years (Preferred)
