We are looking for Swim Instructors on a seasonal, part-time basis based out of our Laguna location.

Availability:
- Seasonal, Part-time, 15-25 hours a week
- Schedules vary within these times:
- Shift 1: Monday – Friday (2:30 PM – 7:00 PM)
Job Summary:
Greets all parents and children and interact with the children to ensure that they have a safe and enjoyable time in pool area
Accountabilities:
- Instructs patrons in all types of aquatic activities with a focus on the American Red Cross “Learn to Swim” program and/ or CFFs in house ASI Certification
- Adapts teaching to the level, age, ability, experience and needs of the participants
- Maintains a safe teaching environment
- Shares knowledge of swimming strokes and water safety with all student swimmers and their parents
- Completes all required reports
- Works with people of all ages, other instructors and special needs
- Works with educational and floatation devices
- Conducts locker room checks and other actions to ensure a clean club
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
- Communicates effectively with members, coworkers and supervisor verbally and in writing
- Follows all health and safety requirements such as, but not limited to, physical distancing, regular surface cleaning, cough/sneeze etiquette, regular hand washing, and not coming to work when sick
- Promptly and thoroughly reviews all requested health and safety training provided, asking questions for any topic not clearly understood
- Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or in process
- ASI certification or 1year(s) as a swim coach, swim team member, water polo player or prior swim instructor preferred
- Maintains company paid and company provided CPR/First Aid/AED, WSI/ASI certifications
- However temporary modifications to provide reasonable accommodations do not waive any essential functions of the job requirements
