The Opportunity
Consor is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Miami team! This role maintains project management within the finance system, This person will coordinate with Project Managers regarding all financial aspects of assigned projects (setup, budgeting, billing, collections, etc.), and lead a team of 5 Project Accountants. Certain corporate functions are also performed including GL posting and GL account analysis for monthly close.
Salary Range $80,000-$90,000. Hybrid Schedule available.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage, support, and mentor Project Accountants
- Manage all training, questions, and issues that come up in relation to the Project Accounting department
- Set up projects in Deltek Vision
- Communicate with Project Managers on billing, performance results
- Review and compile fee proposals, audit packages, certified payroll
- Oversee AR, WIP, Revenue, and Project Performance and meet with appropriate key stakeholders
- Responsible for executing process alignment and implementation
- AP Backup and voucher creation
- Bank Deposits and AR Posting
- Liaison with external auditors for year end GAAP Audit
- Reconcile and analyze Balance sheet and GL accounts
- Assist in Merger and Acquisition tasks as required
- Assist director with various tasks as needed
- Ad-hoc reporting as required
Required Credentials
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years full cycle accounting experience required
- Possession of strong organizational skills
- High level of dependability
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Above average skills in Excel required.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Pass pre-employment substance abuse screening, background screening including previous employment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification
