The Opportunity
Consor is currently looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer for our Drainage/H&H group in our Tampa office. This position requires thorough knowledge of Drainage and H&H design and engineering techniques. Responsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to unique problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Review project design
- Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience
- Assist with project management and scheduling
- Prepare reports
- Develop probable construction cost estimates for projects
- Observe construction and coordinate with contractors
- Coordinate work with other disciplines such as roadway, geotechnical, structures, etc
- Handle routine contract administration
Required Credentials
- Experience using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D
- Industry experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job-related manuals and documents
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Willingness to learn and professionally develop
- Ability to multitask
- Strong professional work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to working independently or with a design team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Engineer Intern (EI) registration
