What you will be doing
The Systems Analyst II will support the delivery of technical solutions including actuarial data processing/management, process automation, SQL database management, and consolidated reporting.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Developing and maintaining automated processes and SQL procedures
Working with actuaries to identify and resolve production errors as well as perform ad-hoc analysis
Using SQL and other programming languages to navigate, perform calculations, analyze and manipulate data
Creating batch jobs to extract data from various sources, transform, and load data to various destinations
Developing ad hoc and quarterly excel spreadsheets using advanced functions and VBA macros
Producing processes, data analytics and reports to support business decisions
Acquire actuarial, accounting and product knowledge.

Requirements:
What you need to be successful
Required:
A bachelor's degree in information systems, business analytics, or similar field
Experience in writing SQL queries
Knowledge of relational database systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Work well both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn new concepts
Drive to improve existing processes and build new ones
Preferred:
Experience with a source control system, such as Git
Experience with Visual Studio, IBM DataStage or similar ETL tool
Experience with Python
Experience with Windows batch programming
Understanding of financial statements
Two to three years of experience in similar role
