What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift Team Lead position at Constellium?
Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to lead team to meet production requirements according to all safety, quality, production, and company guidelines, processes, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-production meeting with team providing safety, quality, and production reminders and alerts
- Assign operators to required cells and rotate as required
- Monitor production and attendance of team members and report issues to supervisor
- Review responsible cells for hourly production and ensure KPI boards are updated
- Escalate issues with machines to supervisor, maintenance, engineering, and quality as necessary
- Ensure all work instructions and quality checks are followed and completed as required
- Assist in managing the nonconforming product created during the shift (i.e. identification segregation, release from hold)
- Participate in 8D relevant to assigned work area
- Assist with training new operators
- Fill in as needed
- Clean work area according to 5S standards
- Conduct shift change over with Incoming/Outgoing Production Team Leaders in your responsible areas.
- Perform Quality Checks hourly
- Recover machines from out of sequence or emergent alarms.
- Collaborate with Maintenance during troubleshooting and/or performing simple tasks (fluid control and replenishment) or correction of small defects.

Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Proficient skills with computers and Microsoft Office
- Experience leading teams preferred
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced and changing environment
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
