Job Description:
We are looking for an entry-level Component Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will have the opportunity to work with a group of professionals in a fast-paced environment, learning the intricacies of our manufacturing processes, and contributing to our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Component Assembly: Participate in the assembly of various housing components, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
- Trimming and Organization: Trim and organize parts as they come off the routers to prepare them for assembly into housing components.
- Material Handling: Safely and efficiently handle materials, including OSB sheets and other construction materials.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in quality checks and inspections to ensure that components meet the specified requirements.
- Safety: Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Adhere to Construx safety guidelines.
- Efficiency: Work diligently to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience is necessary; we're looking for candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of safety guidelines and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Physical stamina and the capability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- A positive attitude and eagerness to acquire new skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience running CNC routers or willingness to undergo training to operate CNC router machines, including loading and unloading them with sheets of OSB.
- Zero-turn forklift operating experience.
- Assist with inventory management and data entry, ensuring accurate data entry into internal databases.
Compensation:
- Starting pay is $19 per hour.
- Performance review after the first 60 days.
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
