Consulting Services Group (CSG) is a premier provider of support services, bringing a new and unique levels of subject matter expertise to our clients, with a focus on intelligence, communication solutions, information technology, social media, and logistics.
We are seeking Interns to support our growing team in our corporate office in Herndon, VA. We offer paid internships for students to assist in both technical and non-technical roles for the summer to assist with tasks set out by various team members and managers. You will work both independently and as part of a team through the course of the summer.
We welcome applicants who are prompt, professional, and ready to learn new things related to our industry. CSG interns must be available to work a 40-hour weekly schedule in-person. As an intern you will build collaborative relationships with colleagues to work on business focused projects including research and providing ideas and solutions.
Day-to-day tasks might involve:
- Maintaining hardware, software, and other systems - must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds to install new computers and equipment and also relocate equipment
- Helping plan and design business processes, and making recommendations for improvements
- Performing research and analysis in support of operations
- Auditing internal files and processes
- Performing software coding
- Database development and implementation with innovative reporting
- Working on a community service project as a collaborative intern team

Interns participate in weekly workshops designed to structure work experiences to students, including skill development, professional connections, resume enhancements, and experiences necessary for professional growth. Throughout your internship you will receive guidance, mentorship, and coaching from our professionals to help you develop the skills you need to succeed. You will use your knowledge of the overall organization to present a final project during the internship, showcasing your experience.

Required Qualifications:
- Current student working towards a bachelor's degree. You must have completed your freshman year to be eligible for the internship.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to show effective use of written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skill
- Detail-oriented critical thinking/problem solving skills.

Work is typically performed in an office environment, requiring the use of computer terminals and standard office equipment to accomplish work objectives.
