Title: Senior Business Analyst (Healthcare Technology)
Overview: Consultis Inc. An award winning staffing and recruiting company is seeking is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our client in the value-based healthcare technology space. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing healthcare data, and facilitating seamless transactions within the FHIR framework. This position requires a deep understanding of various healthcare data sources including claims, electronic health records (EHR), laboratory results, health information exchange (HIE), prescription records, and vendor data encompassing EMR systems, hospitals, and payers. Proficiency in SQL and ETL processes is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Documentation and Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for healthcare technology solutions.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
- Develop comprehensive documentation including process flows, data dictionaries, and technical specifications.
- Healthcare Data Analysis:
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) healthcare data from various sources including claims, EHRs, labs, HIEs, prescriptions, and vendor systems.
- Perform in-depth analysis of healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
- FHIR Transactions:
- Facilitate interoperability through the implementation and support of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) transactions.
- Design, develop, and maintain FHIR APIs for seamless exchange of healthcare data between systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to FHIR transactions and integration points.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of healthcare technology solutions.
- Engage with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to understand their needs and address any concerns or requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of X years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare technology domain.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare data sources including claims, EHR, lab results, HIE, and prescriptions.
- Proficiency in handling vendor data, particularly EMR systems, hospitals, and payer data.
- Strong understanding of FHIR standards and experience with FHIR transactions.
- Hands-on experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools for healthcare data integration.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions within agreed timelines and budget constraints.
