Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, who is responsible for coordinating changes to computer databases, testing and implementing the database applying knowledge of database management systems, and planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.
Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree
• 5 years of experience
• 5 years of Oracle database support
• Experience with Multitenant Architecture and RAC
• Solid understanding of Golden Gate, Data Guard, EUS, FSFO, TDE
• Experience configuring and supporting active/active configurations
• Experience migrating large databases
• Experience patching Oracle databases and Grid Infrastructure
• Knowledge of Oracle Recovery Appliances (backup and recovery)
• Strong scripting skills
• Experienced Oracle Enterprise Manager administration -This includes OMS and agent patching, target discovery/management, OEM performance troubleshooting and user management is a plus
• Experience with Exadata is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Directing programmers and analysts to make changes to existing databases and database management systems
• Directing others in coding logical and physical database descriptions
• Reviewing project requests describing database user needs to estimate the time and cost required to accomplish the project
• Reviewing and approving database development and determining project scope and limitations
• Approving, scheduling, planning, and supervising the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems
• Planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure
• Developing standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information
