Claimant Support Specialist (Call Specialist)

Basic Purpose

Our Claimant Support Specialists attempt meaningful contact to claimants across the United States on behalf of our partner law firms. Whether it is through a phone call, email, or physically mailed document, these specialists collect the necessary information to begin to build the claimant files for mass tort/class action lawsuits.

It is imperative that these team members take accurate notes of their attempts and interactions with the claimants, record all personal private information (PPI) correctly and efficiently, and produce consistent results on a daily basis. This contact is crucial as it starts the process for the following teams to accurately submit requests to obtain the necessary records for these suits.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review patient information and questionnaires to determine whether additional information is needed.
  • Create timely and accurate requests according to client rules and project needs.
  • Complete outbound calls to patients to obtain complete information without missing any portion of their medical claim history. This is NOT cold-calling. These claimants should be expecting our communication.
  • Create rebuttal requests for additional information as needed.
  • Utilize multiple databases to notate, track, and communicate statuses.
  • Proactive communication to your supervisor regarding the status of claimant outreach.
  • Maintain complete discretion and privacy with PPI- we are a HIPAA compliant facility.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
  • 1 year of experience minimum in a complementary field
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Suite applications; must have working knowledge of Outlook and Excel
  • Adobe Acrobat knowledge
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Desired skills/expertise:

  • Background in HIPAA Authorizations
  • Medical Records Experience
  • Healthcare Industry Experience / Knowledge
  • Legal Experience / Knowledge

Hours: M-F 7:00AM - 5:00PM CST (8HRS), Overtime Opportunities Available

Pay Range: $12 to $15/hr
