The Solutions Architect at Consumer Cellular is a critical contributor during the ideation and design phases of the software development lifecycle. They are a trusted thought leader who effectively translates business strategies into actionable implementations through sound judgment and an up-to-date knowledge of technology.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the content and delivery of cross-domain solution architectures that meet functional project requirements and ensure system quality attributes: Interoperability, Modifiability, Testability, Usability, Performance, Dependability, and Security
- Work with product and technical subject matter experts and analysts to design implementations and provide level of effort estimates
- Perform research and development to achieve business and operational goals through proofs of concept and prototypes
- Implement cross-cutting applications and libraries
- Assist with the establishment of development practices and patterns
- Be a technical leader involved in code reviews and mentoring of senior engineers in architectural practices
- Assist with the design of endstate architectural blueprints to be used in long-term business and implementation decisions
- Produce documentation of existing and target architectures
- Assist with the evaluation of 3rd party platforms, tools, technologies and vendors
- Identify opportunities for platform stability and efficiency improvements
Qualifications:
- 7 years’ experience as a senior software engineer and 2 years producing architectural designs
- A command of application and enterprise design patterns
- 5 years’ experience with knowledge of C# and ASP.Net Classic and Core
- A strong working knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong experience with cloud architectures (Azure preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal skills
