Production Supervisor-Paint, Assembly and Shipping (Metal Container Fabricator).

Job Purpose:

To ensure that each order is manufactured, packaged, and shipped in accordance with customer and CPC’s quality specifications. To ensure smooth running of the production process and to recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. To ensure all staff comply with the company’s Health and Safety procedures.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Acquire trucks to Ship all outbound products.
  • Manage and develop and evaluate production employees to achieve established goals of production volume, quality, and safety.
  • Review, analyze and make recommendations regarding safety, performance, quality, expenses, and productivity.
  • Participate in controlling the production department’s cost efficiency. 
  • Ensure problem solving and troubleshooting skills are used so that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems at hand.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects integrity and respect towards employees, customers, suppliers, supervisors.
  • Ensure all communications to employees, customers, and management are clear and concise. 
  • Ensure that the department complies with all company policies.
  • Communicating job expectations to staff, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Resolve personnel problems, investigating issues, identifying solutions, recommending actions. Counseling, and disciplining employees and enforcement of policies, and procedures as needed.
  • Maintaining vender relations.
  • Continuing our product development for quality, efficiency, and costs purposes.
Scope of work:
  • Basis computer skills, including Production software and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Responsible for 3-5 employees in the cleaning, painting, assembly, and shipping of the full line of CPC products.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of industrial spraying equipment i.e., HVLP, airless systems and electrostatic spraying. Supervises the cleaning and maintenance of said equipment.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, including keeping records as required by company policy.
In-House Training Required:
  • Forklift training
  • Scissor lift training
  • Rigging training
  • Materials receipt training
  • Certification for Hazardous Waste

About Job: 

Our employees work a regular day shift Mon-Thur 5:30am-4:30pm (overtime is sometimes available and mandatory). The pay for the starting position is $20-$24 per hour, DOE. Evaluations are performed annually.

Position works 50% office and 50% floor labor and reports directly to the Manufacturing Superintendent.

All candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment exam, background check, drug screen, and E-Verify.
