Demolition Supervisor

Contento’s is a well-established family owned and operated business here in Central New York since 1950. We are a full-service demolition company seeking a skilled and experienced DEMOLITION SUPERVISOR to join our crew.

This position will be overseeing and managing demolition projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on role that will require some long weekday hours, strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively coordinate and communicate with on-site crew, dispatch, and clients.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

· Valid NYS Driver’s License and safe driving record

· Valid Asbestos Supervisor Certification

· Current Asbestos Physical and Respirator Fit Test

· OSHA 10 Certification

· Expert operator of heavy machinery and equipment (Excavator, Skid Steer, Wheel Loader, etc.) as necessary to complete demolition tasks

· Able to read and execute technical drawings and blueprints

· Plan and coordinate demolition projects, including assessing project requirements, developing work schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations

· Supervise and lead a crew of up to five team members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed

· Conduct on-site inspections to assess project progress, identify any issues or challenges, and implement appropriate solutions

· Monitor project budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed within scope and on schedule

· Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, progress updates, any incidents or accidents that occur and report them to office and/or dispatch

· Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards for demolition work

· Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
