Tasks

Coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials for the organization by performing the following duties.

• Coordinates all activities related to procurement of a commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
• Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, and preferred supplier(s)
• Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity.
• Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality
• Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.
• Coordination of the required commercial and technical info for preparing the RFQ
• Cooperation with the target costing and other interface functions
• Support supplier payment / payment terms problems and contractual discrepancies
• Performing annual negotiations to constantly improve the cost situation
• Driving improvement programs with suppliers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 2 years’ experience in purchasing role
• Purchasing & Supply chain experience
• Fluency and great communication skills in English
• Ability to cope with negotiations and other business discussions
• Familiar with MS-Office (medium to advanced skills with Excel and PPT);
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills;
• Exceptional problem solving and solution-oriented mindset;
• Affinity for strategic and analytical thinking
• Strong attention to details;
• Experience in supplier and/or commodity management, global sourcing, strategic purchasing is a significant plus
