THE POSITION
The Project manager will be responsible for leading various improvement projects for our Allentown, PA warehousing and distribution center and Third-Party Logistics providers. The project manager requires a highly motivated, self-sufficient individual who will be able to utilize previous project management experience to manage project work packages, monitor project milestones and time lines while communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
They will lead the continuous improvement of logistics processes in departments such as Value-Added-Services, Bulk & Small Part Storage, and Shipping/Receiving, and outsourced services. Activities will focus on plant and equipment layout, work processes, capacity plans, optimal material flow, lean workflow implementation, and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities and equipment.

Core Responsibilities:
- Lead continuous improvement and innovation projects in all areas of the organization, identifying, reducing and/or eliminating sources of variation and waste through application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Promote continuous improvement culture by leading work teams: including training, moderation of workshops, project execution and coaching of project managers.
- Develop and maintain, standard operations minutes, allowances, routings, ergonomic assessments
- Plan plant and equipment capacity, manufacturing plan, and manpower projections
- Create and maintain plant layouts and process flow improvements
- Write documentation for manufacturing operations (Work Instructions, Maintenance plans, Control Plans, PFMEA's)
- Provide product assembly instructions and standardized assembly practices
- Maintain and improve machines, controls, fixtures, tooling, gauging etc.
- Identify and develop continuous improvement projects with high impact
- Evaluate new techniques and automation concepts for implementation in the location
- Provide training and coaching to support the department leaders and help achieve performance targets

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of project management experience
- Experience in continuous improvement principles
- Experience leading process improvement projects
- Experience with value stream analysis
- Ability to travel 10% domestically
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineer
- Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Principles, TAKT time calculations & line balancing
- Knowledge of six sigma quality control
- Experience with ERP Systems
- PMP Certification
