ROLE PROFILE
The IOYC Galley Associate will be successful when:

IOYC private and public events are flawlessly executed, with high quality food and service throughout the yachting season.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
DAILY OPERATIONS

Create a consistent high quality food product and culinary experience
-
Display a basic knowledge of cooking, ingredients and preparations
-
Ability to assist the team when necessary to ensure completion of tasks and duties including the sanitation of china, flatware and glassware
-
Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with guests during dinner service
-
Able to assist with set up, presentation and guest facing service of food items at designated dining stations, while keeping the dining stations clean and organized throughout the cruise

Consistently ensure that dining stations are replenished throughout the cruise
-
Demonstrate an eagerness to refine techniques and a desire to continually learn and grow
-
Ability to maintain a positive attitude throughout the workday
FINANCIAL IMPACT

Support management by identifying eating trends that lead to waste
-
Follows direction from Galley Lead regarding recipes to avoid wasted product
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
-
Must be able and willing to work seasonal event driven schedule including nights, weekend and summer holidays
-
Must be 17 years or older
-
Working knowledge of food handling, food sanitation and safety
-
One-year previous experience preferred in a culinary role or food and beverage facility
-
Positive attitude and the willingness to work with all facets and levels of management
