Natural Gas Scheduler

Job Summary A Natural Gas Scheduler will handle daily gas scheduling operational duties. Responsible for nominations and related activities on natural gas pipelines electronic bulletin board. They may report pipeline physical positions to trading team. Balance pools and maintain the overall relationship with the pipelines, customers and their personnel. Input of operational information into Allegro and assist other departments in overall Allegro input. Liaison between Gas Marketing and Accounting/Invoicing. Performs a wide variety of tasks; contributes to process improvements. Leads the work of small project teams. Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental theories, principles and practices in Excel. Identifies possible solutions for problems/issues of diverse scope. Works under general supervision. Strong communication skills, both written and oral Proficient computer skills Strong Excel experience Aggressively seek solutions Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University Ability to work independently within a dynamic, fast paced, and business critical trading environment Must be highly motivated and possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Must be flexible to accept assignments outside the scope of primary duties Ability to recognize and solve problems quickly Possess effective planning and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail Must provide availability to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test. Preferred Qualifications Prior gas scheduling experience preferred Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
