What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician (Site 1 (ASRS) position at Continental?
Description
- Perform repair or preventative maintenance for receiving and shipping ASRS cranes, equipment, and conveyors.
- Assist engineering with maintenance and repair of conditioning area equipment.
- Assist SCM and warehouse engineering with material flow projects and maintenance.
- Work with logistics department to assist as necessary to improve efficiency, cost and productivity of warehouse and SCM equipment.
- Develop and perform ASRS maintenance / safety training programs for facilities maintenance personnel.
- Support Facilities Engineering department with controls and monitoring software, hardware, and maintenance.
- Assist with Facilities Maintenance projects, including but not limited to utilities installations, equipment installs, equipment removals, compressor maintenance.
- Provides 24/7 support for ASRS. Will be required to carry a company phone.
- Basic knowledge of PLC/IPC programming and troubleshooting
- Proficient with troubleshooting and installation of new equipment
- Knowledge of warehousing and automated storage systems
- Knowledge of piece part conditioning equipment
- Clear understanding of prints and documentation systems
- Good computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate communication between engineering, maintenance, and warehousing personnel.
- Strong self leadership abilities
Qualifications
- 2 year technical degree in an associated engineering discipline (mechatronics, electronics, robotics, computer / mechanical engineering tech, etc)
OR
- State approved Journeyman's Card
OR
- Minimum 2 years technical maintenance in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Specific Skills and Abilities (in order of importance)
- Electromechanical troubleshooting
- Pneumatic / Hydraulic troubleshooting
- Computer skills
- Organizational skills
