Job Description
Our Project Engineering team is seeking to add a Civil or Mechanical Engineer to drive proactive continuous improvement on current and future projects. While keeping plant production goals in mind, this person will specialize in the future growth of technical equipment and new building infrastructure for the Clinton plant facility while actively working with team members locally, nationally, and globally.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full execution of the project lifecycle including planning, installation, commissioning, and project closeout, as well as certain repairs and troubleshooting of the machinery.
- Responsible for all aspects of installation of new equipment in dedicated area of factory. Actively participates in the planning of engineering projects for the development and implementation of new or advanced manufacturing processes. Involves exploration of new machinery and vendors to provide best practice solutions to efficient production processes.
- Frequently handles multiple projects from different magnitudes. Prepares time schedules and estimates of production costs and associated capital / tooling costs within overall project requirements. Coordinates all phases of activity under his/her control to meet the project objectives within the limits of time and cost.
- Maintains effective verbal and written communication with all stakeholders both internal and external on matters concerning assigned projects.
- Maintains documentation, retention of records and reporting on all project activities.
- Frequently represents the department in contacts with other companies or outside organizations on technical matters relating to projects or areas of specialization or proficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, lidealy Mechanical or Civil.
- 2 years of relevant experience as Manufacturing / Project Engineer either in a full-time role or internship/co-op
- Proven technical expertise and strong project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using drawing software like NavisWorks, AutoDesk, CAD or SolidWorks.
- Familiar with Project Controls.

- 3 years’ experience in Installation and Equipment Commissioning
- Tire industry experience
- Civil Engineering experience
- Experience with managing large projects in a manufacturing facility will be advantageous.
- Project management experience with civil and structural aspects will be advantageous.
