TT QA Technician

Our Mount Vernon, IL location is seeking a TT QA Technician. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is dependable and accountable.

THE POSITION

The QA Technician is responsible for a multitude of roles within the final finish and support areas. This role will require the ability to do the following functions:

• Warranty and general investigation work
• Sectioning and analysis of cut tire sections
• Over-inspection of 100% inspection product
• Dock release prior to shipment

QA Technician will be responsible for the following:

1. Able to classify and inspect tires according to QMD standards.

2. Notify appropriate personnel of scrap tires passed by 100% inspectors.

3. Perform dock audits on all OE tread codes.

4. Will be cross trained to perform all QA technician inspection jobs. (overinspection, tire cutting, CTD checks, first tire checks, audits)

5. QA Technician will follow all plant rules, and will follow departmental safety policies, environmental policies, and chemical handling procedures , including being familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets, (MSDS)

6. QA Technician will follow standard practice for this specific job and perform all work necessary to obtain quality production.

7. Perform other duties as directed by the Chief Inspector or QA Manager.

Basic Qualifications

High School or equivalent

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

AAS degree.
