Registered Nurse - Surgical/Medical ICU Unit - contingent - midnight shift
Shift: varies with alternating weekend schedule
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Contingent Option 1: Unit-based contingent that reports directly to the Unit Manager/Unit Director. Meets all accountabilities of a Registered Nurse.
UNIT OVERVIEW:
Unit 26 - Surgical/Medical ICU - 24 bed (40 beds after May) - adult ICU caring for adult patients requiring vasoactive drips, ventilatory support, post cardiac arrest, sepsis, TPA strokes, targeted temperature management and other critical conditions requiring hemodynamic monitoring.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Previous 1-2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
