The Contra Costa Health Department is looking for candidates interested in temporary work assigned to the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) located in Martinez, California.

There are 5 temporary positions available that are assigned to the Food and Nutrition Services unit. These positions play an important role by:

• Assisting in dishing up individual servings in kitchen or cafeteria lines.
• Assisting in weighing and measuring food portions.
• Helping set up and deliver food trays and diet nourishments.
• Transporting food and utensils by pushing carts from the kitchen to various parts of the institution and returning to kitchen.
• Loading, unloading and cleaning food carts.
• Helping wash dishes, pots and kitchen utensils by hand or by using mechanical equipment.
• Helping set up and maintain employees' eating area.
• Assisting in the operation of simple vegetable and peeling and slicing machines.
• Emptying garbage, sweeping, vacuuming and wet mopping floors.
• Disinfecting ceilings and walls.
• May be required to operate a cash register or serve nourishment on an intermittent relief basis.
