Control Air Enterprises LLC is seeking three perspective candidates for an entry-level career opportunity in the major construction HVAC & plumbing industry.
This rare employment opportunity is to join the Estimating / Pre-Construction Group as an Jr. Estimator / Take-Off Staff at our office in Hayward, CA.
Successful candidates will be trained and exposed to all aspects of the major construction HVAC & plumbing industry with possible career paths to;
senior-level estimating roles, construction management (project manager / project engineer), mechanical design, CADD / BIM coordinators.
As an entry-level Jr. Estimator / Take-Off Staff, you will be instructed in the application and practical use of Quick-Pen AutoBid® (by Trimble®) specialty estimating software and utilizing On-Screen take-off features.
Candidates must possess a team orientated attitude, strong communication skills, a higher-level of organizational and attention-to-detail consciences.
No previous estimating or industry experience is required, but parallel course work in a relative educational major is preferred.
Candidates must be able to work full-time at our Anaheim office.
Training and instruction in the below estimating responsibilities will include :
- Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Thoroughly review front ends and specifications for scope or pricing impact items.
- Obtain and evaluate material, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
- Able to communicate, schedule, analyze information, and take responsibility for estimating duties.
- Review bid documents for potential conflicts and constructability issues.
- Communicate with the client, gather all necessary data, and analyze all information in order to assemble complete project cost.
- Confer with general contractors / construction managers, engineers, and designers on changes or adjustments for estimates.
- Follow company procedures for communication, dialogue, time sheets, and assembling of estimates.
- Strengthen teamwork oriented traits.
- Learn all software programs utilized in the day-to-day business operations of the company.

Pay Range : $25 - $45 Hourly
