Senior MES Lead Engineer
Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in metropolitan New York City, Control Associates, Inc. is the premier provider of industrial process control systems, precision instrumentation, asset reliability, vibration analytics, Manufacturing Execution Systems, (MES), and data management solutions. We are looking to hire a Senior MES Lead Engineer to support all our clients within the New York Metropolitan area, this role will be based out of our Allendale, NJ headquarters.

Role: The Senior MES Lead Engineer will be individually responsible for specific client deliverables for our Premiere Life Science & Pharmaceutical clients, including direct management of an engineering team(s) tasked with the Design, Implementation, and Testing of advanced MES Delivered solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the project team in the design, implementation, and testing of complex Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to meet customer requirements
- Directly lead, mentor, and motivate a team(s) of midlevel and junior engineers.
- Responsible for all aspects of MES project implementation from project proposal support through to start-up and commissioning.
- Work optimally with client resources, including Senior Operators, Supervisors, Process experts, Site IT and Client Leadership, to define business needs and requirements.
- Lead team members to define scope, sizing, system operational requirements, and integration requirements.
- Create prototypes to develop and demonstrate project solutions and unique product features.
- Develop General Design Specifications (GDS), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) and Detailed Design Specifications (DDS) along with validation documentation as required.

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree required, preferably in Computer Information Systems, Biochemical Engineering or related life science or engineer discipline.
- Client-facing role must have excellent written, electronic, and interpersonal skills, must be able build strong customer/client relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Prior Emerson Syncade experience required.
- 10 years' experience working within any of the FDA regulated industries, and that experience should include managing direct reports or project teams.
- Integration knowledge/experience with MES and ERP required.
- Experiencing designing operational and data workflows required.
- Ability to understand customer requirements for life science manufacturing processes, equipment usage and cleaning, and process controls, are preferred.
- Ability to understand customer requirements for manufacturing batch record review and then work with report authors to implement an electronic batch record.
- Microsoft SQL Server experience required with Backup and Recovery options.
- Clients are based throughout the New York metropolitan area, with the potential ability to travel across North America for formalized training and onsite client deliverables.
- Valid Drivers License is required.
- Normal Working Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must be available for emergency services and on-call duty/rotating schedule.
