What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Specialist 2 position at Convergint Technologies LLC?
- Provides custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation. May install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
- Perform project installation as required for a turn-key installation.
- Configures and supports a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned security projects.
- Assists Project Specialists and Service Specialists with IT/Networking technical issues on projects and service calls.
- May work with other CTCs or customers to provide Strategic Account support. May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.
- Works closely with the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager and assists in the overall coordination of specific projects; makes recommendation regarding quality of work and potential changes in scope and identifies ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
- Carries out in-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications and contracts in order to determine and advise on overall project requirements; manage a variety of aspects of project including estimating, design, tracking, start up and planning phases; material and equipment procurement.
- Acts as a technical resource and support to sales executives including attending pre booking meetings.
- Prepares databases and job related programming for computer based systems.
- Provides diagnostic and troubleshooting support for possible problems including debugging software, electrical problems, installation problems, etc. to existing customers, sales team and service department as necessary.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
