Plasma (Plaz) Table Operator/Fabricator (1st Shift)

    • 05:00AM-3:30PM Monday – Thursday
    • When work increases, we work 05:00AM-11:30AM on Fridays

General Information:
Job Title: Plasma Table Operator
Employee Type: Full-Time
Shift: 1st Shift 5:00am-3:30pm
Location: Coopersville, MI
Salary: $18.00-$21.00 (final wage presented is based on experience)
Job Tasks:
As a Plaz Table Operator, you will be setting up, operating and tend to plasma table to complete jobs to customer’s specifications.
Plaz operators are expected to:
  • Examine finished workpieces for conformity to specifications and verify dimensions
  • Start machines, adjust controls and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly
  • Monitor operation of the plasma machine and adjust to correct problems
  • De-burr and tag each plasma cut part for next step in the process
  • Inspect and mark completed parts and stack them so that they can be moved to the next workstation
  • Load steel sheets onto plasma table as required per plasma layout file
  • Load plasma layout files into plasma table console per project requirements
  • Optimize steel sheets and use drops efficiently
  • Maintain sheet steel stock levels and make requests to reorder when required
  • Complete Fabrication duties as assigned (punching holes, grinding parts, cutting parts with a saw, etc.)
Job Requirements:
  • 2 years or more previous fabrication/plasma table operating experience preferred
  • Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license
  • Experience driving a Hi-Lo preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
