What are the responsibilities and job description for the HBO Tech position at Conway Regional?
Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients of the Department of Hyperbaric Medicine, under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered by the hyperbaric physician.
The work environment is indoors, with adequate heating and cooling. There is a significant amount of equipment for patient care, as well as many supplies stored in the work environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications

- Completion of Healogics’ Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine and Safety Course with certification and clinical competencies completed prior to administering therapy independently.
- Must be credentialed or licensed in Arkansas,
- Current license or certification is required in one of the following areas:
- EMT
- Paramedic
- Respiratory Therapist
- Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)
- Registered Nurse
- Diploma indicating completion of Medical Assistant (MA) program may be accepted in lieu of the above.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in healthcare is preferred. Wound, Hyperbaric, or
- Medical/Surgical experience is preferred.
Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
