Project Assistant Cooley is seeking a Project Assistant (temporary position) to join the New York office. Position summary: Under the supervision of Administrative Services Manager, the Project Assistant will provide document and information organizational support across various practice groups as assigned by the Regional Paralegal Manager. The Project Assistant may also receive project support requests from the local office Administrative Services Manager. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Position responsibilities: Assist with coding and organizing documents and information related to business transactions and litigation matters Create and maintain official files; update file management database, and liaison with Information Governance concerning the maintenance of files Assist with preparing indexes and summaries related to documents and information reviewed Identify, locate, and organize documents, as needed, for business transactions and litigation matters. Download/upload documents to/from data rooms, databases, internet, etc. Assist in other administrative departments, as necessary Turn in time-logs by the required deadlines and fulfill other administrative duties in a timely fashion All other duties as assigned or required Skills and experience: Required: After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications Available to work overtime, as required Preferred: Completion of 1 year of college Competencies: Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work well with others Ability to work well under pressure EOE.
