The position of Agronomy Laborer is of great significance to Valley Agronomics. A person in this position will assist patrons in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the cooperative.
Job Summary:
These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.
- Assist customers with buying bulk fertilizer, chemicals and seed as well as delivering of grain commodities to the terminal.
- Load and Unload railcars in a timely manner as they come into the business.
- Verify that the equipment and supporting vehicles are in good working order.
- Blend and load Agronomy products
- Unload grain commodities as they are received.
- Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, or other to customer site.
- Perform warehouse work to include driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.
- Perform housekeeping inside and outside of all facilities.
- Complete all safety reports and required record keeping.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Maintain current license that apply to the position.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and the general public.
- Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.
- Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the location.
- Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
- Must have a manager focus on all interactions and exhibit strong critical thinking/ problem solving skills.
- Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
Salary : $22,100 - $28,000
