Furniture Assembler

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join Copeland Furniture's Assembly team! This is an important and fun role because you are the one to make the furniture take shape for our customers and have responsibility and ownership for the piece from start to finish. Recognizing that this is a learned skill, extensive training, and support are provided. As your skills grow, you will have the chance to learn to build all of our products.

Elements of the Job:

• Preparing parts so they are ready to accept finish and can be assembled
• Building furniture using traditional construction techniques
• Building drawers
• Ensuring drawers in dressers look symmetrical and operate properly
• Repairing damaged areas or other character marks
• Supporting other areas of the factory as needed

Keys to Success:

• Very dependable, excellent attendance, and the ability to work 45 hours
• Production-minded with a focus on quality and speed, enjoying a fast pace
• Able to see how parts go together and to problem-solve fit-up challenges
• Comfortable working with powered hand tools
• Able to do some moderate lifting, occasional heavy lifting

Job Type & Compensation:

• Full-time
• 3 performance-based wage increases within 1st year
• Hourly wage & Weekly pay
• Assemblers Bonus Incentive
• Weekly Bonus and Overtime opportunities

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 6 AM – 3:30 PM
• Occasional Saturdays as needed, 6 AM – 10 AM
